Death and reprisal
We put our god on trial
For a murder so vile
It defies all understanding
Such are the ways of men
I couldn't do a goddamn thing
As we watched you die
Senseless destruction
A young life interrupted
A victim of corruption, bred by greed
In this cold room we all stand and mourn
A crowd of mutes come to sing our silent song
We're all here to watch the dead perform
An explosion of hysterics
At your final curtain call
If I could climb my way to heaven
I know that I would hear him say
"My brother I did not die for nothing
I'm with you always"
In the darkest of seasons
I've searched for a reason
A lesson learned in this life lost
Another martyr to the frost
Another brethren laid to rest
Another debt repaid to death
The final chapter doth now close
In this anthology of woes
Life of confusion
A young man disillusioned
The answer and the ending were the same
Oftentimes
I wonder why
Things had to be this way
Through the dark and the light
We march on
Through ashes of extinguished flame
And I know you are gone
So long
I guess some things we cannot change
Tread forth with your head held high (x2)
Through the dark and the light
In trying times, I'm with you always

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan
I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive
My first exposure to Inferi was seeing them live with Shadows of Intent. They were supporting this album.
Unbelievably awesome live show and the greatest possible way to discover this amazing band.
Love everything they produce. Obstacle of Affliction
Culinary-themed melodic death metal outfit cook up a smorgasbord of fierce solos, tight percussion, and cheeky, foodie-approved screeds. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2024
An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
