Charge upon their barracks
The onslaught of the phalanx
Eternal carnage, so vividly ingrained
Naught are the survivors
Revelations homicidal
Revel in the violence epic
Drench the earth in the blood of your enemies
Desolation is cursed upon
He who begets the mass grave
Long after the armistice
Combat calls my name
This thirst for death is satiated
With every corpse left mutilated
But the deceased oh how their eyes haunt me still
Trample forth with fervent hostility
Ares I am your servant
I am overwhelmed with bliss as I watch the blood pour from your throat
And your face turn blue
I feel this darkness washing over me
Soldier of the blood red moon
These trenches are my hallowed ground
Combat my endless waltz
Cries for absolution
The cadences to this song
Militant formations masquerade
On this death-laden promenade
I can't just walk away, it's all I know
The dogs of war are on the loose
This thirst for carnage
Born of war, internalized
My Dark Compulsions grow
No longer a soldier but,
A killer indiscriminate
This killing spree is now my war at home...

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

My first exposure to Inferi was seeing them live with Shadows of Intent. They were supporting this album.
Unbelievably awesome live show and the greatest possible way to discover this amazing band.
Love everything they produce. Obstacle of Affliction
Culinary-themed melodic death metal outfit cook up a smorgasbord of fierce solos, tight percussion, and cheeky, foodie-approved screeds. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2024

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
