Birthed of the darkness
Born of the dead
Oh, the rivers, they shall run red
I found you steeped in your own blood
Innocence lay dead and lifeless
Lamentations of a love lost
But I could never leave you
So I call forth the great deceiver
Oh Satan! Hear my call!
And in the night I search the dark
To find the blood to feed my queen
My love
Undead, reawakened by the beast
Betrothed to death
Eternally
My valentine unhallowed
Oh, dark prophet
Return her from the gates of hell
As I lay you down
On this altar
My paramour cloaked in sanguine serenity
Imbued with necromantic life
Unholy theogeny
Ho, behold reanimation
The demonic serum reignites your sutured form
Injected of the essence
Of a thousand darkly blessings
In this vessel you are reborn
Forever my undead confidante
My virulent animus
Quarter the carcass
Cascading blood
Atrocious murder my labor of love
It's all for you
Through this dark ritual
The girl had escaped death
Once again to walk the earth
No heartbeat in her chest
And this new life of sin
It shall never end
For when the sun sets she
Must feed on flesh again
I would give you everything
My one true love

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

My first exposure to Inferi was seeing them live with Shadows of Intent. They were supporting this album.
Unbelievably awesome live show and the greatest possible way to discover this amazing band.
Love everything they produce. Obstacle of Affliction
Culinary-themed melodic death metal outfit cook up a smorgasbord of fierce solos, tight percussion, and cheeky, foodie-approved screeds. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2024

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
